Archaeology Group

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday in the month from 10.00-12.00 noon at the Victoria Park Bowling Club.

The Group is is open to anyone with an interest in the past as illustrated by its material remains – no previous experience or knowledge required, just enthusiasm! We hope to have a mixture of outside speakers, ‘home-grown’ talks and exchanges, and some hands-on sessions with real artefacts.


Autumn 2016
Wed 21 September: ‘Bring and share’ – Members and guests will give short presentations on archaeological topics which interest them; if there is time, also a video on a recent community dig at Kidderminster

From May to September 2017 we hope to organise outings to sites or excavations in the Midlands. Ideas about where we might go will be very welcome.
