Basic Computer Skills

We meet on an agreed day of the month from an agreed time at - (venue to be decided. Please contact the Leader).

The group aims to give greater confidence in using computing devices, sharing the learning process in a practical and hands-on manner. There will be some degree of progression over the sessions, rather than attempting to answer individual queries instantly.
Provided there is sufficient interest, sessions will be split into a set for laptop/desktop users (Windows, Mac, possibly Chromebook) and another for those with tablets or smartphones (iPad, Android, Amazon Fire). Hopefully most members will be able to bring along their own kit.
Likely topics include getting to grips with your device, managing email, using the web/internet, security issues, rudiments of popular apps and programs etc. Precise content will depend on needs and wishes of group members.
Times and place of the (probably 6 or 7) sessions are still to be decided. Please come along to the Groups Fair with info about the device you want to learn on (bring it along if practical) and we’ll try to come up with something useful! Or contact John late August/early September 2019.
