Day 1, Locality 6
Lunch stop in Troodos village.

Troodos is hardly a village, more a collection of commercial buildings lying in wait for the tourist buses! Cafes however, are available in the square, plus in summer a good-sized open air market with stalls selling local food produce and more exotic offerings. Traders are generally very willing to ply you with samples, and this, should you succumb, usually results in purchase! Gift stalls may also be open. Toilets are also available at the East end of the square beside the horses, although current wisdom would seem to favour those in the cafes instead, or in the hotel, lower down the slope near the geology centre.

On the way back to the car park after lunch there is an opportunity to buy excellent fresh local fruit.
