Do you think recorders are just high–pitched, squeaky instruments played by children? Well you could be in for a pleasant surprise! We play in four parts with descant, treble, tenor and bass recorders. We enjoy learning to play pieces ranging from the 16th century through to 1960’s pop music, including Ragtime and classical music and occasional songs from shows.
Many of us hadn‘t played recorder since primary school, but you do need some experience of playing, and you must be able to read music.
Although we are unable to meet at present, in normal times we meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 14.00-16.00 at Christchurch Hall.
