GRP Social History

Social History

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 10.00-12.00. Venue: The Victoria Park Bowling Club
We study the historical development of a particular society, chosen by members of the group. Each topic involves a series of lectures and may take up to a year or eighteen months to complete. However all lectures are self-contained with each session lasting 2 hours with a break for coffee and finishing with an open discussion.

At present we are studying Women in History.
The group has increased over the years and now amounts to 50 or 60 regular members.
