Day 4, Locality 4

4) F 111 road, 500m from locality 3; off road viewpoint.

Walking further along the road from locality 3, and then left through scrub and olive groves, some scrambling brings us up to the viewpoint looking south over the fault belt.

We are standing on the Troodos Plate, with brecciated pillows at our feet, and south in the middle distance is the main transform zone.

South to the skyline the higher ground is that of the Anti Troodos Plate, the oceanic crust on the opposite side of the transform.
