FORTHCOMING TRIPS
Friday 20th March 2026 A trip to Forge Mill Needle Museum, Bordersley Abbey & Webbs Garden Centre.

We will spend the morning at The Needle Museum and Bordersley Abbey and then travel on to Webbs Garden Centre in the afternoon.

This is an historic site illustrating the rich heritage of the needle and fishing tackle industry. Arriving at approximately 10.15, the group will be split in to 2 with half  going on a guided tour of the Mill, whilst the other half will make the short walk to the ruins of Bordesley Abbey, where a guide will explain about this medieval Cistercian Abbey which had been extensively excavated.

Tea, coffee and cake will then be served before the 2 groups change over for the other tour.

There will then be free time to visit the Quilting Exhibition and the Abbey Visitor Centre. There is also a gift shop.

We will then leave at 14.00 and travel to the Garden Centre. Finally departing at 1600 and returning to Malvern at approximately 16.45.

Depart from Malvern Splash 09.00 and arriving back in Malvern at approximately 16.45

The cost will be £24 per person to include the coach, driver’s tip and entrace to the Museum and Abbey.

Wednesday 15th April 2026 A Trip to Compton Verney & Stratford-Upon-Avon

Join us for a visit to Compton Verney, which is a renowned art gallery, museum and park situated in a Grade 1 listed Georgian Mansion in Warwickshire. It is surrounded by 120 acres of parkland, designed by Capabiltiy Brown.

It houses 6 diverse permanent collections, including British Folk Art and Chinese Bronzes and features a number of temporary exhibitions.  There is a cafe offering drinks and light lunches.

We will leave Compton Verney at 14.00 and travel to Stratford, where you will have an opportunity to explore the town and the shops before we leave at 16.30 to travel back to Malvern.

Depart from Malvern Splash at 08.40  arriving at Compton Verney at approximately 10.00. Returning from Stratford at 16.30 arriving back in Malvern at approximately 18.00

Cost to include coach, driver’s tip and entrance to Compton Verney £33 pp.

A Visit to Lord Leycester Hospital and St Mary’s Church, Warwick

Lord Leycester Hospital: – Built 700 years ago as the headquarters of The Guilds of Warwick, it was then founded as a hospital in 1571 by Robert Dudley for soldiers injured in the Tudor Wars. It still has a Master and Brethren, similar to The Chelsea Pensioners. The house and gardens are open and there is a cafe serving hot and cold food.

St Mary’s Church:  One of the largest churches in Britain, founded in 1123 by the Earl of Warwick, Roger de Newburgh. It has the famous Beauchamp Chapel and the nave was rebuilt in 1704, after The Great Fire of Warwick, in 1694.

Tuesday 30th June 2026 A Visit to Charlecote Park and House

This is a National Trust property, so please remember to bring your membership card.

It is home to the Lucy family, who migrated from France after the Norman Conquest in 1066. Their wealth came from land and good marriages! Queen Elizabeth 1 visited the estate in 1572 and in 1757, Capability Brown created The Cascade. There are many other historical links including links to William Shakespeare and his plays.

The House opens at 11.00 am and there is a cafe serving hot and cold food.
