The U3A Cycling group peddled the 350 miles of the Canal des Deux Mers cycle route from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Find out about some of the sights, history, art and, of course, food & wine enjoyed along the way!

Alan Soper - The 9.54 from Great Malvern

Which is, obviously, the best train for starting a circumnavigation using the world’s public transport. A journey which includes the Trans-Siberian, the railway to Tibet (the highest in the world), Malaysia’s Jungle Line, Australia’s Indian Pacific, Amtrak etc. Since any member of the public can attempt it, crossing the Pacific Ocean by hitching a lift on a container ship is allowed.
