Getting Involved
Being a member of the u3a need not just be about attending your groups. There are plenty of ways to get involved further, from helping with teas and coffees through to becoming a trustee. Below are some examples. Please do consider what you can do to help – without group leaders and trustees, our u3a simply wouldn’t exist.
General help
Not required to become a Trustee. These roles can be shared by two people.
- Help with teas and coffees at monthly meetings.
- Help with managing and setting up presentational equipment
- Help with collecting stories, editing and preparing for publication, articles for our twice yearly Newsletter and monthly Bulletins.
- Help with booking speakers for our monthly meetings
Any member who thinks they may be able to help in this roles, please either talk initially to your Group Leader, as they now have some more information on this from their meeting, OR, get in touch with any Trustee or the chair (Peter Corfield).
