Description - the group meets monthly to discuss a wide range of subjects relating to Business Industry and Finance. We will look at issues that businesses face in running and developing their activities. The subject matter will be topical and based on current issues in the media and our approach will be practical in nature, based on our own experiences and often assisted by case studies.
Typical subjects to be discussed: The future of manufacturing in the UK; Nationalisation; Apprenticeships; Growth Industries; PFI and Public Private partnerships; Tariffs; Private Equity; Valuing a business; the housebuilding industry; artificial intelligence in industry; Export issues; and anything else that crops up in the month between sessions.
