Military History
We are a vibrant self run group. Most of our monthly speakers are members but many only wish to attend, which is also fine. We meet at 1000 am at Manor Park Tennis Club on the 2nd Friday of the month. Many of us go for lunch together after the talk at the Foley Arms. The last year talks have reflected an 'end of WW2' theme. Next year will be broader but we strive for originality in the form of contemporary relevance of past events, important history changing battles or just narrative on well known battles from a new perspective. We are quite analytical and tend not to simply delivery narratives of tactical movements. Many speakers travel to the battlefields before they present to the group. As you might expect from Malvern there is a lot of knowledge about military technology development in the group. You can come to a couple of meetings for the two pound entry charge only, before we ask that you do join U3A in full.
We have high quality sound and projection and can work with audio loops for the hard of hearing. We do insist that members attend with the correct £2.00 in entry fee.
